A video player which deals specifically with SWF files.
It can be an interesting task to open SWF files directly without some sort of extra software involved, but SWF Opener is a legacy program that seems to be able to pull it off.
Without the need to install official Adobe programs to open SWF Flash files, SWF Opener is a very basic program which plays these movies and games with a few primitive controls live play, stop, pause, etc. which are accessible from the "Playback" menu. It also supports full screen mode and can change the aspect ratio of SWF files.
The user interface of SWF Opener is pretty basic but does provide some options which may be useful.
The installation package also comes with an addition tool called "SWF cache viewer" which allows you to view Internet Explorer cache files that are SWF files.
To sum it up: This is a very basic and rather outdated application which plays SWF files just as your browser would and it does not require any official Adobe plugins to function and open files.
